Dr. Michael Campbell is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine.

Dr. Campbell received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  While at Ohio Wesleyan, Dr. Campbell was a three-time Academic All-American soccer player, captaining the team to the 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship.  Dr. Campbell went on to receive his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating at the top of his class.  He completed his orthopedic residency training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  From there, he completed a one-year fellowship training in sports medicine at the esteemed American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.  He treated all levels of athletes from weekend warriors to high school, collegiate and the professional ranks.

After completing his fellowship training, Dr. Campbell joined a practice in Exton, Pennsylvania where he had been practicing for the last 9 years before joining the Lancaster Orthopedic Group in 2019.

Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, and an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Campbell’s clinical practice includes the non-operative and operative management of sports injuries, fractures, and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, hip, and knee.  His expertise lies in the minimally invasive/arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee injuries, as well as reconstructive procedures for the shoulder, hip and knee.
