Dr. Cherian is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Adult Reconstructive Surgery, also known as Joint Replacement Surgery.

Prior to joining LOG in the fall of 2021, Dr. Cherian completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, FL where he studied under some of the leading joint replacement surgeons in the country.  He is trained and certified to perform robotic assisted partial knee, total knee, and total hip replacement procedures.

A native of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Dr. Cherian received his undergraduate degree from Gannon University in Erie, as well as a post-graduate degree in Biomedical Science. He attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Cherian is active in research and education, having published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles as well as several book chapters on hip and knee arthroplasty.

Dr. Cherian specializes in conditions of the hip and knee, with subspecialty interest in total joint replacement, including anterior total hips and robotic assisted total joint replacement. He also offers provides iovera° treatment to his patients, which is a non-opioid, immediate and long-lasting nerve block. See link below for more information.

He is a candidate member of American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association, and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Society.

In his spare time he enjoys spending his time with his family, as well as being outdoors.
